An inspiring care professional that worked her way up from Care Worker to Registered Manager is now at the helm of our Admiralty Care Home in Gillingham. Bea Oliver first joined the home in July 2023 initially on a temporary basis, but enjoyed her time at Admiralty Care Home so much that she decided to stay on a permanent basis.
Bea came to the health and social care sector later in life but quickly found her footing and has thrived in her role ever since. Only a few years ago, Bea gave up a long and successful career in sales after feeling unfulfilled and wanting to give something back to the community.
Starting out as a care worker, Bea went on to complete her Level 2 and 3 Diplomas in Adult Care, undertook further specialist dementia training, and then advanced to the Level 5 in Leadership and Management in the space of just a few short years.
No stranger to care settings in Medway, before joining Admiralty Bea previously worked for a national home care provider overseeing 130 care packages and managing a large team across four sites in the area.
Excited to be running a well-known care home with leading care provider Agincare behind it, Bea said:
Admiralty, formerly known as Rogers House, has been an important community asset to the people of Gillingham for over three decades and I am keen carry on its legacy for the future.
I have really enjoyed meeting all the residents, who are a constant source of inspiration for me and my fantastic care team.
Agincare has two popular, well-established care homes in Medway and I am keen to uphold our excellent reputation in the area.
Admiralty is the latest care home to be welcomed into the Agincare group, joining the leading care provider’s two Good’ CQC-rated care and nursing homes in the Medway area: Victory Care Home in Chatham and Rochester Care Home.
Laura Coupe, Manging Director of Agincare Homes Holdings, had nothing but enthusiasm for Bea’s new role:
Due to her vast experience of care settings in Medway, Bea is the right person to lead Admiralty care Home into a new era with Agincare and we welcome her to the Agincare group.
Over the last decade Agincare has seen the successful delivery of high-quality personalised care at our Victory and Rochester homes in the Medway area and this will now continue in our newest home.
Nestled in a quiet suburban corner of Gillingham, Admiralty Care Home is a purpose-built residential care home providing personal care for up to 43 people.
