At our home we have:
Residents and visitors are welcome to use the free Admiralty Wi-Fi. All our care homes have an iPad for residents to use – Skype calls work really well – and for families to use when they visit.
We have 41 bedrooms for people living at Admiralty, with a range of room sizes, including some able to accommodate couples.
We have ground floor rooms with direct access and first floor rooms that are fully accessible by stairs or lift.
The majority of rooms have en-suites and others have en-suite wet rooms, which make showering easier. The rooms without en-suites have accessible toilets, bathrooms or wet rooms within easy reach.
We encourage our residents to personalise their rooms with their own photos and furniture. Personal possessions help residents feel at home, and provide extra stimulation and time for reminiscence. They also give our team an important understanding of a resident’s history and what’s important to them.
Other attractions include:
Admiralty boasts an extensive garden, with a beautifully maintained lawn that has vegetable patches and flower beds for residents to utilise. For those who love to relax outdoors, we provide a lovely setting with a table and chairs set up on the front lawn. Our garden is a great spot for activities and eating outside. Our residents love to watch the wildlife in the garden, especially on the bird feeders on our beautiful willow tree.
Within Admiralty’s extensive garden we have a summer house and seating area on the patio for residents to utilise if and when they desire. This is the perfect area to relax, read a book or have afternoon tea.
At Admiralty we have a caring team of well qualified professionals, passionate about what they do and dedicated to ensuring our residents always feel confident that they can rely on a friendly face and helping hand 24-hours a day.
We encourage visits to Admiralty so you can meet our team and get a feel of what it would be like to live here. You will be able to look around, meet other residents, find out what goes on and ask any questions you may have. It is important to us that you make the right decision and are happy with your choice of new home.
All our staff go on an intensive three-day Agincare induction and training before starting at Admiralty and we also have excellent support from our local GPs and district nurses.
At Admiralty, we place great emphasis on social activities and maintaining the type of life you have had at home, whether that is quiet and relaxed or an active lifestyle.
We have an activities coordinator who is responsible for resident’s social activities. We also offer various group outings to destinations chosen by our clients. As we know everyone is an individual, we also offer one to one activities where staff are available to do the things you want to do, maybe shopping, playing crib or helping with a craft you enjoy.
At Admiralty, we understand the importance of mealtimes to our residents and strive to make every meal a sociable and enjoyable experience that respects their individual choices.
Main meals are generally taken in the dining room, although alternative arrangements can be made for those who wish to dine alone and many of our residents choose to have breakfast in bed, the choice is yours.
