A ‘Good’ Outcome
Fulford Care and Nursing Home in Littlehampton are pleased to announce that it has successfully maintained its ‘Good’ rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) following its latest inspection.
Led by Activity Coordinator Denise Webb, the session gave residents the opportunity to discuss their mental health in both one-to-one and group settings, encouraging honest conversations in a safe and welcoming environment. Residents shared personal experiences, positive coping strategies, and advice on how others can support their own mental wellbeing.
Positive Observations
The report details how positive, warm interactions were observed, with staff demonstrating a good overall and in all five inspection categories.
The inspectors identified a strong understanding of people’s strengths, abilities, and protected characteristics with which they were able to execute exceptional person-centred care.
A resident stated:
I’ve been a patient here for a long time, I’m very happy with the care here. The medical care and support are first class.
Another resident said:
Brilliant, they are all brilliant, and the staff are very caring. They’re all caring, but some you get more attached to.
The rating exhibits the home’s continued pattern of commitment to residents whilst reflecting the organisation’s ongoing focus on continuous improvement.
