Critchill Court is a purpose-built residential home, located away from the main road on the peaceful south-westerly side of the market town of Frome. The home comprises of two wings with a total of 46 furnished bedrooms, each with ground floor access to the garden and courtyard.

Our home provides 24-hour a day tailored care in a home-from-home setting, which you are encouraged to personalise and make your own. Critchill Court is fully equipped with everything you need and our team ensure that every detail is to your liking; ensuring you feel comfortable and settled as soon as you move in.

As well as offering high-quality residential care tailored to your needs, Critchill Court also provides specialist support for those living with dementia. A dedicated dementia care suite ensures a safe and secure environment for our residents living with dementia, supporting them to live as independently as possible.

Social activities

There’s something to suit everyone in our social activities programme, from entertainment, exercise and flower arranging to arts and crafts, coffee mornings, cooking and much more.

Dining

Our talented chefs create delicious and inspirational menus using quality ingredients sourced locally. We choose ingredients that deliver maximum taste and nutritional benefit whilst minimising environmental impact.

Our menus offer a varied, satisfying and frequently refreshed menu of seasonal dishes which are a feast for both body and soul. We are very happy to accommodate dietary requirements and will ensure all of your meals meet your needs.

Bedrooms

Critchill Court comprises of two wings; Main House which houses 34 residents and Cedar Oaks which is home to a further 12. All bedrooms are fully furnished and benefit from ground floor access. There are a variety of en-suite bedrooms with rooms for couples also available.

Residents and their guests are also free to use the lounges, dining area, on-site salon, and private gardens and courtyard when they wish. We also have a varied activities programme that provides enrichment, stimulation and the opportunity to retain and pursue hobbies and interests.

Although fully furnished, our bedrooms are a blank canvas for you to personalise with your own photos, pictures and furniture to help you feel at home. It also helps our care team understand what’s important to you.

Gardens

Critchill Care Home is set within lovely, vibrant gardens where you can join in with outdoor activities or simply enjoy being outside. The garden has level access, a lawn area and courtyard .

Within our garden we have a variety of seating areas with tables and chairs for you to utilise if and when you desire. This is the perfect area to relax, read a book or have afternoon tea.
