Great news today as latest figures show that 100% of residents at Gainsborough – our care home in Swanage – have now received a first vaccination to protect against Covid.
The home, managed by Agincare, is Covid free, continues to carry out regular testing and is following latest guidance on PPE, hygiene and family visits, and also accepting new residents.
Registered Manager Louise Van Dorn said:
The vaccine roll-out to all residents feels like such a positive step for us at Gainsborough Care Home, after a hard year for everyone.
All we want to do is simply give our existing and new residents a safe and happy home, including welcoming even more visits from family and friends with fewer restrictions in the future.
Operators Agincare, one of the country’s largest independent care providers, has welcomed the latest figures at Gainsborough Care Home, as well the Government’s announcement to ease visit restrictions from 8 March.
Agincare Care Homes Chief Operating Officer Tim Buckley said:
We know just how treasured visits are by our residents, their loved ones and our care home teams, and we have already been facilitating safe visits wherever possible during the pandemic, even before the latest Government announcement.
The vaccination roll-out of residents at Gainsborough Care Home in Swanage is great news and very pleasing indeed.
Agincare is working daily with local authorities and NHS teams to ensure any new care home residents are vaccinated as soon as they are able, as well as any remaining care workers across our homes nationwide.
