At Laurel Dene Care Home you will be served freshly prepared, home cooked meals created by our team of expert chefs. Wherever possible, ingredients are locally sourced and every meal is designed to be healthy, balanced and full of flavour.

Upon arrival, one of our chefs will spend time getting to know you, including your likes, dislikes and any dietary requirements. This helps them tailor meals to your preferences while ensuring dishes remain nutritionally balanced and enjoyable.

Our menus change weekly, offering a wide variety of dishes to suit different tastes and appetites. Meals are served in our welcoming dining rooms, creating a relaxed and sociable environment, although residents can also choose to have meals served in their room if they prefer a more private dining experience.

We understand that eating well is not always easy, so our experienced care team is always on hand to offer support and encouragement at mealtimes, particularly if someone has lost interest in food or drink.

The care home staff were truly amazing, always treating my mum with the respect and dignity she deserved and caring for her with kindness and compassion, even towards the end of her life when she really should have been transferred for nursing care. Mum saw the care home as her home and always felt safe and comfortable there. During her final week the team also looked after us when we were almost like residents ourselves, and nothing was ever too much trouble. We truly felt that mum was surrounded by love and support.

We feel very grateful that Mum has moved here. She was made to feel welcome from the moment she arrived at reception and all the staff have been extremely friendly and supportive. Everyone we met on the first day was helpful and welcoming, from the management and reception teams to the care, maintenance, activities and housekeeping teams. Mum’s room was scrupulously clean and very cosy, so she already feels at home. On her first evening the Deputy Manager kindly emailed us a photo of Mum laughing, which was incredibly thoughtful and reassuring as it showed she was happy. The empathy and sensitivity of the staff has helped Mum settle into her new surroundings. With huge thanks to everyone.

From the very start I felt comfortable leaving my husband in Rose Court. The staff were friendly and helpful and have remained the same ever since. The activities are wonderful and birthdays, with the special cakes, are always celebrated beautifully. Over the years I have become very close to the carers who look after my husband and they are very special to me, as is the manager, who is brilliant.

Our mum has recently moved to Blenheim and although it is still early days, she has been welcomed and made to feel at home in a very short space of time. She is happy, well cared for and well fed. The home has a friendly and welcoming atmosphere and the staff are excellent. The kindness and attention they show to the residents is lovely to see.

Our dad first came to Rochester Care Home for two weeks of respite care and then chose to make it his home. He enjoyed the kind, friendly and supportive staff and management, the activities, the meals, his own en suite room and the warm, homely atmosphere, as well as spending time with other residents. Unfortunately he is no longer living there due to unforeseen health issues, which the team responded to immediately by ensuring he received the right medical support. We cannot thank them enough for the care and joy they brought to his time there and would highly recommend Rochester Care Home for both residents and the support given to families.

On every visit the staff are friendly and welcoming. My mum’s room is always kept clean and tidy and she is very happy with the care she is receiving. She is checked on regularly and has everything she needs. Mum requires assistance with eating and the staff are always ready to help. Overall we are very pleased with the care she receives.
