Social activities

There’s something to suit everyone in our social activities programme, from entertainment, exercise and flower arranging to arts and crafts, coffee mornings, cooking and much more.

Dining

Our talented chefs create delicious and inspirational menus using quality ingredients sourced locally. We choose ingredients that deliver maximum taste and nutritional benefit whilst minimising environmental impact.

Our menus offer a varied, satisfying and frequently refreshed menu of seasonal dishes which are a feast for both body and soul. We are very happy to accommodate dietary requirements and will ensure all of your meals meet your needs.

Our experienced chefs understand the challenges people with dementia face at mealtimes. Working closely with our care team, they encourage residents to eat and drink by considering their tastes and motivations. Familiar flavours and aromas can also spark reminiscence, helping to recall cherished memories and stories.

Bedrooms

The home features 40 single rooms, thirteen of which are en-suite. It also has two lounges on the first floor with views over the Severn Estuary, a large and bright dining room on the ground floor, and a hairdressing room.

The bedrooms are a blank canvas for you to personalise with your own photos, pictures and furniture to help you feel at home. It also helps our care team understand what’s important to you.

When you move in, our fantastic team will be there to ensure the transition is as seamless as possible. At Dewdown House, our all-inclusive fee covers everything you need—towels, bedding, laundry, meals, and personalised care.

All you need to bring are your personal belongings to make your space feel like home, and we’ll take care of the rest.

Gardens

Sedgemoor Care Home is set within lovely, vibrant gardens where you can join in with outdoor activities or simply enjoy being outside.

Residents can also enjoy an enclosed central patio, which is safe and sheltered, and direct access to Clarence Park at the rear of the property. Our mix of private and shared spaces provides plenty of opportunities for socialising and activities while also ensuring privacy and easy accessibility.

Within our garden we have a variety of seating areas with tables and chairs for you to utilise if and when you desire. This is the perfect area to relax, read a book or have afternoon tea.
