Sam Smith was the first to use new electric vehicle charging points in our new Riggers’ Row free to use car park on Mulberry Avenue in Castletown, Portland.
The points are available for anyone to use with the aid of an easy to operate online app.
Sam, from Wiltshire, said:
I’m down visiting family, and it’s really convenient to charge up the car while I take the dogs Patch and Maddy for a walk.
It’s handy having an electric point here as it’s where people walk their dogs, or come down to visit the beach, as the nearest other points are quite a way along the beach road or up at the supermarket.
The points are supplied by Vend Electric, whom deliver electric vehicle charging solutions for commercial, residential and blue light clients including the NHS, HM Revenues and Customs, SSE and delivery company dpd.
The charging points are located in the car park of Agincare’s stylish new Riggers’ Row building, which is home to our growing Training Now and Home Care Operations teams.
The development reflects Agincare’s continued growth nationwide, and commitment to maintaining our headquarters and resulting support for the local economy on Portland.
Agincare Head of Property and Procurement Simon Luckhurst said:
