The Mayor of the Borough of Harrogate, Councillor Trevor Chapman, has officially opened our new regional head office in Harrogate, which brings high quality, person-centred home care and live in-care services to the north of England.
The Bower Road office is home to our fourth regional team, joining other Agincare bases in the southwest, southeast and central areas of England. Our professional team deliver high quality 24-hour live-in care and home care services, supporting people to live independently in the comfort and safety of their own home.
The Mayor of the Borough of Harrogate, Councillor Trevor Chapman (pictured above opening the new office) said:
I am delighted to open the new Agincare regional office in Harrogate. It’s great to see a major national company setting up in Harrogate as its base for the north of the country. I wish them the very best and will follow their progress with interest.
The office’s Live-in Care Manager Karen Harding and Home Care Manager Jane Edwards together possess over 50 years’ experience of working in social care settings across Harrogate and Yorkshire. Karen who hails from Harrogate said:
Being the Registered Manager of a brand new regional head office in my home town is very exciting. It is amazing to be able to play such an important role in Agincare’s expansion, which will bring personalised care and support to people across the north of England.
Opening of our new regional office follows an increase in demand for services that we already deliver in the wider region, including live-in care, and extra care supported living. Harrogate’s heritage character perfectly complements our family-run values; whilst the town’s geographical location is ideal for a one-stop-shop delivering existing and new care services across Yorkshire and the north of England. Agincare Home Care Managing Director Luke Holmes (pictured below far left) said:
We’ve seen increasing demand for our services, which have been welcomed in the area. Establishing a Harrogate regional team will give Agincare a local, professional presence on the ground that is able to support even more people over a wider area with high quality personalised care.
It also means that Agincare is creating jobs in the area, giving local people the opportunity to join a national care company, with a welcome bonus, flexible shifts and many other benefits on offer.
Agincare is regulated by the Care Quality Commission and rated Excellent on the TrustPilot review website with over 240 five star reviews. We are an independent, family owned national care provider with over 35 years’ experience delivering high quality care in the community, including over 20 care and nursing homes plus home care, extra care, live-in care and supported living. Our Founder and Chairman Derek Luckhurst started his first care home in Weymouth in 1986, and the care provider has since grown to employ some 3,500 people at over 60 locations nationwide, remaining independent and without private equity investors.
About home care
Home care sees a care worker visit people regularly in their own home to provide personalised care and support depending on each individual’s situation. For example, it may include helping them get up and about in morning, taking medication or assisting with personal care and social activities.
About live-in care
When more support is required, a professional live-in care worker comes to live in a person’s own home, supporting them with 24-hour care in the safety and comfort of their own surroundings. Each person has complete control over who comes to live in their home, with the level of support entirely tailored to their individual needs.
