Respite care at home

Everyone needs a break now and then: a change of scene, a chance to recharge their batteries. If your family carer needs some well-earned time to themselves, but you don’t fancy staying in a care home while they’re away, then our respite home care could be the ideal solution.

Staying in familiar surroundings while your usual carer is away, but where you don’t have room for a live-in respite care worker, our highly experienced and qualified respite home care staff can step in.

Together with your family carer we can design a package of care which gives you the level of support you need, and gives your carer a break. The number and length of home care visits is entirely flexible.

Home care can be relatively simple, like helping you get up and about in the morning, making sure you take your medication at the right time, feeding pets or helping you move around the house.

Or it could mean high-dependency 24-hour homecare. Our service is flexible and we match the care and the care worker to you. Every visit starts with an assessment of what you need which puts you in control of the way in which you want care and support to be provided.

And sometimes it's more social than personal care, such as taking time to have a chat or going out to the shop. We work with you and your family to get it right.

Our care services cover:

  • Providing personal care
  • Support with medication
  • Preparing meals and supporting you to eat if necessary
  • Washing, cleaning and shopping
  • Looking after pets, so you don’t need to worry about them
  • Liaising with healthcare professionals

Call us on 0800 0121 247 to talk to us about how we can help you with respite care, or email us.
