Latest figures show that 100% of residents at Gorseway Manor Care and Nursing Homes, operated by Agincare, on Hayling Island have now received a first COVID-19 vaccination (8 February 2021).
The homes, set at Gorseway Park retirement community in four acres of parkland, are currently COVID free, following latest guidance on PPE and carrying out regular testing.
Registered manager Naomi Edge said:
Our main priority at Gorseway has always been to give our existing and new residents a safe, secure and happy home. The vaccination roll-out is a really positive move forward for us after a hard year, with the promise of brighter days ahead with fewer restrictions in the future.

Chief Operating Officer Tim Buckley said:
We are very pleased with the positive response by our residents and care team to the vaccination roll-out at our Gorseway retirement village on Hayling Island.
Agincare is working daily with local authorities and NHS teams to ensure remaining and new care home residents are vaccinated as soon as they are able, as well as any remaining care workers across our homes nationwide.
Gorseway Park includes a residential care home plus a nursing home offering dementia, palliative, respite and convalescence care in a comfortable, homely and relaxed environment on Hayling Island.

I’m looking forward to being able to hug my family soon, it’s been such a long time. I will be able to go into hospital for my operation, feeling safer and protected.
