Agincare celebrates International Women’s Day

March 8, 2023

Agincare is celebrating International Women’s Day by sharing stories of some the amazing women from our care services.

Carly Trevett

Registered Manager – Agincare Home Care Service Dorchester

Carly is Registered Manager of our Dorchester Home Care service, as well as our Extra Care service in Blandford.

Her progression through Agincare over the last decade has been incredible and deserves recognition – Carly joined in 2013 as a care worker before quickly progressing to Care Co-ordinator, then latterly as Deputy Manager, and finally as Registered Manager in 2022.

She is especially proud that her team assisted a client being able to attend her daughter’s wedding. The client herself believed that she would not be able to go due to her health and being so far away. However, Carly and her team supported the client every step of the way, from organising transport to being with her on the day. Bravo team!

Kelly Barnes

Registered Manager – Agincare Home Care Medway Service

Kelly has worked Agincare for seven years, most recently as Area Manager for our South-East Home Care services.

She first started as a care worker, travelling around Medway on her bike!

She is particularly proud to have achieved a ‘Good’ CQC rating – the rating acknowledging all the hard work the team have put in.

Kelly is also a great supporter of working mums:

In her own words:

“We have many mums who apply for a job with us. When they sit down with us, the  first thing they do is raise concerns about how they will manage their working life around parenting.

As a single mum to three myself, I always take the time to understand their worries and share my own personal journey with them – sometimes it is reassuring to sit with someone who is in a similar situation and hear how it can work.

The same as someone did for me when I first joined Agincare. I saw that Manager as a superhero”.

Kelly Nash

Business Development Manager – Agincare Home Care

Kelly Nash is the Business Development Manager at Agincare Home Care services and is a valued member of our team.

She has over two decades experience working in the Health & Social Care sector, and is a great advocate for care in general.

She approaches everything she does with positivity, good humour and with the interest of her team and the people they care for at heart.

Jess O’Byrne

Admin Co-ordinator – Agincare Weymouth & Portland Live-in Care Services

Jess has been working for Agincare for almost three years now, and in that time she has thrived in her role as an Admin Co-ordinator for our Live-in care services in Weymouth & Portland.

She has worked on complex projects and really settled into the role despite being totally new to social care.

She has been working diligently towards her Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship, of which she will complete in June.

Jess is proud to have organised a collection of gifts to send to Ukraine for Operation Christmas Child.

Zara Sadiq

Zara has been working as a Senior Support Worker at our Agincare Enable supported living service at Keats Court in Rochester, Kent for just over three years.

She has a huge amount of knowledge and enthusiasm for the care sector, especially correct protocol and procedures.

Zara works closely with the tenants at Keats Court, helping them to live as independently as possible and achieving any goals they have.

She is especially proud to have helped one of the tenants overcome their fear of public transport, who now uses the service regularly.

When asked about her job, she said:

It’s a very positive service and the experiences I have each day are unforgettable.

It’s a true joy to work at Enable.”
