Agincare is set to acquire prestigious Beaufort House from farming charity Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI).
We are working closely with RABI to ensure a smooth transition takes place for care home residents, apartment tenants and the existing care team until we take on full ownership and management of the home.
The care home in Burnham on Sea has 33 en-suite rooms, and is accompanied by 12 self-contained independent living flats and is rated ‘Good’ by the CQC at last inspection.
Agincare Chief Executive Raina Summerson said:
Beaufort House is in safe hands. Agincare is a family-run, independent care provider with values to match and over 35 years’ experience of delivering high quality care and support in the heart of the communities that we serve.
We look forward to welcoming Beaufort House into the Agincare family of care and nursing homes, and are committed to providing the same continuity of care for residents and retirement living tenants, with the existing care team remaining in place.
It is really important to us to maintain the fantastic level of service RABI has given to residents, and the good news is that we will build on resident numbers to support families in and around Burnham-on-Sea.
RABI chief executive, Alicia Chivers, said:
RABI has followed an exhaustive selection process to secure the best possible buyer for Beaufort House.
We are confident that the wealth of experience and ethos of Agincare will offer an exceptional level of care and support to the residents and tenants at the home.
It is anticipated that the sale of the home will complete during August 2022. Monies released from the sale will be used by RABI to increase the support available to farming people requiring care or assistance in their own homes, or through local supported care.
