Very good experience of visiting my mother who has recently moved to Greenhive. She has settled in well and is enjoying being here. She has just been to the hairdresser and was invited to a resident’s 101st birthday this week.

My mother moved in 3 months ago and she settled in very quickly. The carers are incredibly kind and create a very happy atmosphere.
Sasha H (Daughter of Resident, 2023)
My mum is 89, unsteady on her feet, has dementia and can be very strong-willed. She came to Greenhive a year ago and all the carers have been brilliant and create a wonderful, upbeat, fun, caring and family atmosphere. We also really appreciate that we can communicate with Mum’s wonderful team leaders any time, and feel they have Mum’s best interests at heart always. I can honestly say, every single day I’m grateful we found Greenhive. We looked at many care homes and none came close. As well as being able to offer Mum a spacious ground-floor room with an ensuite bathroom, with a big garden wrapping around the whole building, which she loves, it is light, airy, clean and accessible. But most of all, the staff from the manager and team leaders to the carers, are just great!

Funding may be available from your local authority. Firstly, they will check how much help and what kind of care you need: this is the needs assessment. Following on from that, the free financial assessment calculates the total cost of care and how much you’ll need to contribute.
If you don’t want a financial assessment you can choose to pay for your care home yourself – this is called self-funding.

That means no additional charges or hidden fees, just consistent, all-inclusive support for a weekly fee.
