Commercial Controller

Job Description

Here at Agincare, we are proud to be a leading UK care provider, and we now have an exciting career opportunity for a Commercial Controller to join our Legal & Commercial team, based at our Head Office in Portland, Dorset situated on the beautiful Jurassic Coast.

This is a new senior role due to growth and in this role, you will make a significant contribution to our ongoing and ambitious growth plans.

You will have three direct reports, the Head of Bids, Head of Procurement and Head of Facilities, and you will lead the wider team, building capability, upskilling and developing infrastructure, systems and processes. 

About the Role

You will be leading change transformation projects including ESG, SECR, and system automation, and developing, planning and implementing strategies that align with business goals across your sphere of influence. You will prepare budgets, schedules, and other organisational reports as needed including monthly reporting of environmental, energy consumption, cost savings, construction and refurbishment projects against their budgets/contracts.

About You

• Previous experience of leading, developing, upskilling and motivating a team and managing others effectively
• Previous experience in a similar leadership role in a large or medium organisation (within Health & Social Care is an advantage)
• Relevant professional qualifications are desirable.
• Commitment to best business practices relating to commercial and legal compliance 
• A passion for helping businesses grow and develop with a strong family run spirit
• Excellent organizational, time-management, and project management skills
• Outstanding communication, presentation, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Results-driven with a focus on growth and mentoring
• Experience in the care or regulated industry is desirable
• Flexibility to travel to our Agincare sites
