Job Introduction

Agincare are looking for a Maintenance and Grounds Person to support our Facilities Department based within our head office, at Portland, Dorset.

Job Role: Maintenance and Grounds Person

Hours: Permanent Contract, 40 hours per week

Location: Main place of work is our Head Office based on Portland, Dorset with expectation to support other sites

Salary: £30,000.00 per year, depending on experience

About the role:

The purpose of the role of Maintenance - Grounds Person is to be a multi-skilled operative who will assist with the daily running of sites outlined and agreed by becoming an effective and involved member of the team, including, carrying out various odd jobs such as performing repairs, maintaining property, performing renovations as and when required and tending to the grounds.

The Ideal Candidate

• NVQ in general construction operations or similar

• Two years’ experience of site maintenance and improvement or similar

• Team player

• Ability to work on own initiative

• Good organizational skills

• Good communication skills (written and oral)

• Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations

• Ability to complete basic records of work, and the expenditure incurred

• Proven joinery, plumbing, electrical, painting and decorating skills

• Full driving licence
