About the Role

In this role you will manage and oversee the entire management accounts process from the initial point of entry through to the completed management accounts for the Group of Companies within the required deadline.

To coordinate, manage and support members of the finance team to achieve the principal purpose. To ensure members of the team are developed in line with the needs of the business.

• Record accurate and timely transactions on the accounting system
• Maintain good working relationships and provide excellent customer service to all internal and external stakeholders
• Plan and organise own workload to meet the deadlines in each cycle
• Ensure the achievement of the team’s targets
• Preparation of monthly management accounts for various group companies.  This includes the following:
  • Oversee the closing of the ledgers
  • Preparing and posting monthly journals
  • Accruals / prepayments
  • Update fixed asset register
  • Reconciliation of control accounts
  • Other detailed reports and workings 
• Preparation of consolidated management accounts for relevant groups

​About You

We are looking for candidates will have previously been in a management accountant role or have equivalent experience and who can bring a passion and enthusiasm for the work they undertake. You will also have,

• Experience working with Sage (or equivalent accounting system)
• Achieved CIMA/ACCA or equivalent accreditation 
• Previous experience of team management or development of staff
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
