Live-in care for younger adults with a learning disability

Our live-in care workers are a great bunch, helping younger adults with a learning disability live the life they want to.

Your care worker will live in your home, meaning they’ll always be on hand to support you. This could be:

  • At home, helping you with the cooking or cleaning
  • Out with friends or family
  • Going to clubs or social events
  • Helping you be really confident and sure about things like catching the bus or working out what to buy at the supermarket

What are the advantages of 24-hour care at home?

  • You get a care worker living with you 24 hours a day
  • You can stay in your own home, alongside any family or pets
  • You can keep your independence and continue to be part of your local community, with your social life and timetable
  • Family our friends who may not live nearby know there’s always someone there to help you

Why choose Agincare?

What makes our live-in care service special is that we fully manage it. Other introductory services are out there, but they offer less protection and fewer guarantees for the same price.

We go the extra mile. We employ and pay the care staff, which means we have a duty of care. For example, if your care worker is ill, it’s our job to find someone to replace them.

Fully regulated and managed care

We are fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission. We also guarantee the training, supervision and support of our care staff.

And we’re always at the end of a phone if you need help.

On top of all that:

  • We are a family-owned care provider, offering reliable and professional care since 1986
  • We are one of the largest care groups in England with more than 3500 staff providing a range of care services, including domiciliary care and care homes, as well as live-in care
  • 90% of our customers rate us ‘excellent’ or ‘great’
  • All our care staff are employed by us and enhanced DBS (police) checked
  • All our care staff are English-speaking
  • We really take the time to fully understand your needs and situation, so we can provide the right care for you

Where would my live-in care worker stay?

Your care worker will need a bedroom and is entitled to a two-hour break each day (or 14 hours a week).

They will also need somewhere to keep their clothes, and access to a bathroom and a kitchen.
