Delivering quality care for over 30 years

Care worker training

We are committed to delivering high-quality, up-to-date training to all our staff, whether they work in our live-in care team, home care team, care homes or at Agincare HQ.

If you’re new to the care industry, or already have extensive relevant care experience, we can provide you with the training you need to develop your career with us.

Induction training

All newly-recruited care staff complete our three-day selection assessment/induction course, regardless of whether you have previous care industry experience.

The three-day course covers the required standards of the Care Certificate, these standards are the minimum expectations of anyone working in care and include:

  • Principles for implementing duty of care
  • Person-centred support
  • Communication
  • Equality and diversity
  • Safeguarding Adults and Children
  • Health and safety, which includes moving and handling and safe management of medicines, as well as fire prevention and infection prevention and control
  • Personal development
  • Mental health, learning disability and dementia awareness
  • Handling information and confidentiality
  • Nutrition, hydration and food safety

You’ll also get an introduction to the company and time to speak to other care workers and fully qualified health and social care staff.

On-going training and development

We encourage all our care workers to take part in ongoing training to enhance personal development and future career prospects.

Agincare has its own training company, Training Now which delivers training in a range of subjects, supports apprenticeships and provides accredited training to the QCF framework (previously know as NVQ) up to level 5, plus an online Training Portal with e-learning and training packs. This range of learning means you can gain the diverse skills and knowledge you may need when caring for people with very specific and varied care needs.
