From 6 April 2018 employers in Great Britain with more than 250 staff are required by law to publish their gender pay gap information, covering pay and bonuses.

Agincare UK employs a high number of women in senior positions and there is no pay gap between their pay and men’s pay in such positons.

Rock Star Awards 2019

The Rock Star Awards celebrate the achievements of young people aged 16–26 across Dorset and Hampshire. They showcase young people that have demonstrated strength, initiative and hard work, sometimes in the face of adversity.

At Agincare, we employ a number of young carers and passionately believe in supporting the development of their careers. We were therefore delighted to sponsor this year’s ‘Young Carer’ award.

How Brighton’s ‘Why Not?’ club was born

Brighton has a large number of homeless people and at times you can’t walk down Queens Road without seeing at least 10 people who are begging for money, food or a drink.

We spoke to Diana Saine, Operations Director for Agincare's Staff Now, about how she went about helping the homeless people feel part of the local community:

Innovation through partnership

We are very proud of the achievements of our incredible Home First project teams who are finalists for the 2018 Laing Buisson Private/Public Partnership Award for the second year running.

Over the last 12 months, Agincare has been engaging nationally with Trusts, CCG’s and LA’s, forging proof of concept across a number of bridging and enhanced domiciliary schemes for a more radical approach to workforce challenges.

Delays in transfer of care

Recent data published by NHS England shows a 24% decrease in delayed transfer of care when comparing June 2017 to June 2018. Though the trend shows very positive signs there were still over 134,000 delayed days of care in June 2018. The main reason for NHS delays was because patients were awaiting further non acute NHS care. For social care delays, patients were often waiting for care packages to be set up in their own homes.

Easter at Crecy

Crecy is getting into the spirit of Easter with lots of craft, eggs, hampers, flannel bunnies and beautifully knitted chicks made by Jane Wardle (Jane, they are amazing). Cherri, Martin, Angie and Faye all getting involved; well done guys.

Happy Easter and great to see that OUTSTANDING poster on display!

The Beast from the East

Crecy is situated just on the outskirts of Weymouth and being on the coast very rarely experiences snow but with the help of “Storm Emma” things were certainly different at the beginning of March This was Weymouth Harbour side on 2nd March; normally a busy place where people stop and have a coffee was deserted Chesil Beach which links Portland to Weymouth was covered in a blanket of snow This is normally a small lake between Dorchester and Weymouth but it was turned into an ice rink And Weymouth Beach was more likely to see snowmen instead of sandcastles!

Another win for the team!

An important part of our work at Agincare, since moving our head office to Portland over 3 years ago, has been involving ourselves in the wider community and in the regeneration of Castletown. Most notably, the personal investment by our Chairman Derek Luckhurst in the area around our offices, which has now been transformed from a neglected area with several derelict buildings to one that is thriving. This is largely due to Derek driving through both some fabulous new builds and the businesses in them; resulting in additional jobs and tourism for the area.
