All of our Derby homes are less than 20 minutes to the city centre which makes it ideal for our days out.
All three of our homes are close to many bus routes that can take you into the city centre and back.

Nightingale Care and Nursing Home even has a bus stop right outside the home. Foylebank Care Home in Chaddesden is situated on two bus routes (9 & 9a) and the bus stop is around 200 metres from the home.

We know how important companionships with our fluffy friends can be. Not only are they part of the family, they also help with mental and physical well-being. This is why we make every effort to keep you and your pets together when you join us.

Whether or not our care homes allow your pets to join you is decided by the care home’s Registered Manager. You can discuss your pets with them during your visit to your chosen home.

We provide 24-hour a day tailored nursing care at our Nightingale Care and Nursing Home. This home combines specialist nursing care, residential and dementia care.

Our highly-trained nurses provide round-the-clock care to people who require specialist care and treatment for complex illnesses. Our nursing home is suitable for people with long-term illnesses or any medical condition that needs regular support from nurses.

If you would like to view our home then don’t hesitate to give us a call and we would be happy to arrange a no obligation home visit. Alternatively, we have regular coffee mornings where anyone is able to pop in. This is great opportunity to get to know our team and meet other residents.

Funding may be available from your local authority. Firstly, they will check how much help and what kind of care you need: this is the care needs assessment. Following on from that, the free financial assessment will calculate the total cost of care and how much you’ll need to contribute, if anything at all. During the financial assessment it’s important to be open and honest about all your assets, so everything can be taken into consideration.

If you don’t want a financial assessment you can choose to pay for your care home yourself – this is called self-funding.
