When you enquire into live-in care, you will receive a handful of profiles to choose from, hand selected by our expert team of care advisors based on your needs, preferences and wishes.

Your live-in care worker

With live-in care, you benefit from around the clock, one-to-one care and support from a live-in care worker elected by you based on your likes, dislikes and needs.

Your live-in care worker can support you with anything you need to continue living safely and as independently as possible in your own home. They will live with you 24/7 so to support you whenever it is needed.

Live-in care workers commonly provide care and support in the form of personal care, domestic chores such as housework and laundry, cooking, shopping, socialising with friends and companionship. As part of our premium service, they can also provide additional support such as helping you join in or attend events, taking you on trip out, taking care of pets and even accompanying you on holidays.

With the support of your live-in care worker, you can get back to doing what you enjoy, or find new hobbies, knowing that you have 24-hour care and support from a professional care worker on hand whenever you need it.

Live-in care worker training

All of our live-in care workers receive specialist training designed and delivered by expert health and social care training provider, Training Now.

They ensure that our care workers are trained in all aspects of the care certificate, as is requested by the Care Quality Commission; the regulating body for social care in England. This includes modules on moving and handling, duty of care, safeguarding and awareness of mental health, dementia and learning disabilities.

What’s more, our live-in care workers are required to renew their training every six months and have access to additional training such as apprenticeships, online courses, and in-person short courses free of charge.

Are your staff employed or self-employed?

What makes our live-in care service special is that we fully manage it. While other live-in care services – such as introductory services – will only introduce you to a self-employed care worker, we employ our care teams. This means we have a duty of care. For example, if your care worker is ill, it’s our job to find someone to replace them.

When you receive live-in care from Agincare, you also benefit from the larger support network that comes with a national, fully managed service. This includes a local office team and 24 hour on call line, giving you added reassurance that help is always on hand.

We are also fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission. This gives you a higher level of protection and peace of mind, knowing there’s a professional team managing your care.

What will I be expected to provide?

Your care worker will need a bedroom and is entitled to a two-hour break each day (or 14 hours a week).

They will also need somewhere to keep their clothes, and access to a bathroom and a kitchen. While they are on call for 24 hours a day, minimal interruptions during the night are expected.
