Katie Gate is our recruitment partner based in Spain. She is an extremely experienced live-in care worker with a wealth of recruitment and business knowledge.
“Having lived in Spain with my family for a number of years, I’ve regularly returned to the UK to work as a live-in care worker, working with a variety of clients with varying care needs. This experience, together with my local knowledge, makes me the ideal person to support you through your initial enquiry, recruitment and training process.
“Once that’s completed, you’re ready to be care-matched and placed with one of our many clients across England, and for your new career to begin. I’ll be with you every step of the way!”
Katie will manage your initial enquiry, right up to completing our comprehensive selection and assessment training in Spain. With her extensive experience and her qualifications to train others in health and social care, Katie can explain the live-in care worker role to you, and answer any of your questions.
You can contact Katie:
Once you’ve completed an initial application form Katie will arrange an interview. If you’re successful at interview Katie will arrange for you to attend our selection and assessment training centre in Torrevieja.
Your DBS (UK police check) will then be applied for, as well as two references from previous employers.
We conduct our free comprehensive training and induction every four to five weeks or so, at our dedicated training facility in Torrevieja. This training runs for four days with lunch, refreshments and training materials all provided. Accommodation in local apartments can be arranged at a very reasonable cost.
Training will cover all the aspects of being a live-in care worker, including care delivery records, medication administration recording, and moving and handling.
On the first day of training Katie will help you complete the documentation required in order to start your new career. This includes your DBS and care worker profile – creating your care CV! The remaining days are all ‘care-specific’ training.
Katie is on hand to make sure there is minimal delay in processing your documentation, so you can start with us as soon as possible. Katie is passionate about both caring and care workers and will remain in contact with you throughout your career with Agincare.
While you’re attending selection and assessment training, our UK-based care coordinators will begin the process of carefully matching you with one of our many clients across the UK.
Then, as soon as your DBS and references are finalised, one of the team will contact you to discuss your client and talk you through the client’s care plan, confirm travel arrangements and make sure you are ready to start your new career!
