What does a live-in care worker do?

A live-in care worker gives a person the reassurance and convenience of 24-hour one-to-one live-in support in their own home.

The individual services provided by a live-in care worker will depend on the day-to-day needs of the person they are caring for. It could be relatively simple, like helping someone get up and about in the morning, making sure they take their medication at the right time, feeding pets or helping them move around the house. Once you’ve completed an initial application form, your DBS (UK police check) will then be applied for, as well as two references from previous employers.

Starting your new live-in care career in England

While you’re attending selection and assessment training, our UK-based care coordinators will begin the process of carefully matching you with one of our many clients across the UK.

Then, as soon as your DBS and references are finalised, one of the team will contact you to discuss your client and talk you through the client’s care plan, confirm travel arrangements and make sure you are ready to start your new career!
