Carer and client

Who do we help with domiciliary care?

We provide support to the elderly, adults and children with learning disabilities, adults with physical disabilities and adults with mental health conditions.

Why should you choose home care from Agincare?

  • Having been providing care to local people for so long, we’ve built up a great network of experienced, local carers

  • We work hard to ensure clients are cared for by the same worker as often as possible to build consistent, long-standing relationships with the people they care for

  • All our care workers are enhanced DBS (police) checked and highly trained to provide a friendly, caring and reliable service

  • We use the latest technology to help manage our service and clients, but it’s our staff who make a positive difference to people in Bridport, Beaminster, Lyme Regis and across south-west Dorset every day

Hundreds of clients and their families have already chosen us, and we have lots of fantastic stories about our care workers who regularly go the extra mile:

  • We have a small team of dedicated carers who go to clients’ homes in their own time to help declutter and do tip runs

  • Tanya stayed calm while a client with diabetes was having a hypo, helped her when she needed assistance, stayed longer than scheduled, and went back to check up on her after her shift

  • Lillian hadn’t left her house in more than five years. With her carers’ perseverance and encouragement, Lillian started to go out to Lyme Regis every Friday to have fish and chips on the seafront. Lillian’s carers accompanied her in their own time. Friday soon became Lillian’s favourite day of the week

But don’t just take our word for it. Here’s what people say about our home care workers and service:

  • “I would like to thank all the lovely carers that looked after my mum. Your commitment and dedication is beyond words.” Pat

  • “Mum and dad were very fond of their carers and my sister and me are very grateful for your devotion.”  Sally

  • “Social services recommended you as I’m blind and need a carer. All your carers have been so helpful and kind. I wish they could come more often or stay longer.” Ann

If you think home care could help you or a loved-one live independently at home - either right now or in the future - call us now on 01308 777 977 or email us.

Meet the Bridport domiciliary care registered manager, Filipe Requixa

“I’ve been working in the health care sector for over 15 years, the last 11 with Agincare. I started as a care worker and worked my way up to registered manager. I get a lot of satisfaction knowing that I’m helping people to stay in their homes for as long as possible.

“I believe in open lines of communication and a honest relationship with everyone. In the office I’m supported by care coordinators Julie Burman and Sarah Osment, and field care supervisor Ian Roff. My personal motto is: 'You manage things, you lead people'. ”

The office is open Monday to Friday, 8am-6pm. There is also a contact number for out of hours emergencies.
