Reablement care in our residential homes

Taking time to properly recover after an operation, fall or illness is so important, so you can stay independent at home in the longer-term.

Taking time to properly recover after an operation, fall or illness is so important, so you can stay independent at home in the longer-term. Staying in one of our comfortable care homes for a period of reablement care is a great way to regain your skills and strength.

Each of our care homes is different, with its own individual style and facilities. But all our homes have professional staff trained to care for people after a hospital stay, who need extra support before they go home.

Our staff are trained to meet your needs so they can make your stay comfortable. When you’re able, they’ll help you practise doing practical things on your own, like getting dressed, and going up and down stairs, ready for when you go home.

Arranging a stay in a care home before you go into hospital, or while you’re there, will mean you can be discharged as soon as you’re considered as medically fit.

Why choose reablement care at one of our care homes?

  • Person-centred care individually designed with and for you. We take the time to get to know you, your history, likes and dislikes
  • Expert personal care, 24-hours a day from compassionate and professional staff.
  • Comfortable, homely accommodation. We continually review each property to make sure it’s safe, secure and well-maintained, but also a pleasant home-from-home
  • Daily activities to stimulate body and mind. Social and leisure activities are an integral part of care, helping you be as independent as possible while having some fun!
  • Freshly-prepared, nutritionally balanced meals from our chefs. We encourage our residents to eat together as there are so many social and nutritional benefits. However, you can choose to eat your meals in private, if you prefer
