Foylebank Care Home (previously Raynesway View) provides affordable residential care for 35 residents in Chaddesden, Derby.
We respect all our residents – their dignity, their space, and their right to make personal choices in care. Each resident is different, and we offer a range of activities and menu options so every person feels happy, stimulated and cared-for.
As well as caring for our residents we care about their families too. Friends and family members are welcome to visit, and there’s always tea and coffee on hand!
We understand that families have real concerns over the safety of residents at this time and would like to provide reassurance that we are doing everything in our power to minimise the risk of our residents getting COVID-19.
We’re happy to be able to welcome visitors to our care home – albeit with a few stipulations to minimise the risk.
It is located in Chaddesden (known locally as Chad), a large residential suburb situated around two miles east of Derby.
A bus stop (on routes 9 & 9a) is around 200 metres away.
Fees start from £695 per week and funding may be available.

We’ve created a relaxed and homely environment for all our residents. We have a comfortable, spacious lounge and dining room. There’s plenty of space for group activities, or somewhere to find a quieter spot.
We have a lovely garden with lawn and flowerbeds. It is a great spot for BBQs and garden parties in the summer.
Before a new resident arrives we like to find out about their likes and dislikes, so we can arrange their bedroom in a welcoming way. However, once they’re here we encourage residents to personalise their rooms with their own photos and furniture.
Personal possessions help residents feel at home and provide extra stimulation and time for reminiscence.

Life is either a daring adventure or it is nothing. Be daring, be a care worker!
All our staff go on an intensive three-day Agincare induction and training before starting at Foylebank.
Our activity schedule is varied. We welcome all sorts of musical entertainers, including singers and musicians, getting our residents involved with percussion, and singalong leaders.
Other activities in a week could include:
Good, wholesome home-cooked food is essential at a care home. We have an experienced chef who prepares traditional home-cooked meals. Their homemade cakes and biscuits are always popular!
Our cooks always ask for feedback from our residents, and are more than willing to adapt menus.
Mealtimes are really important to us. We encourage our residents to eat together as there are so many social and nutritional benefits.
However, people can choose to eat their meals in private too, if they prefer. If the weather’s warm enough, we might eat outside. We also encourage families to come and join their loved ones for meals.
