a special place to work
Agincare puts the development of its people at the very heart of the organisation. Not only are our staff the face of the business, but also the crucial ingredient that sets us apart.
“Over the past 8 years I have developed and grown along with Agincare. Although the company is now much larger, I feel we have retained the friendly and caring culture that has always made it such a special place to work”.
We pride ourselves on providing some of the best induction training standards in the sector – all care staff undergo an induction at one of the eight Agincare training centres across the country – and are committed to continuous professional development.
We believe that the proof of this is the fact that many of our staff have been with us for more than 10 years, bucking the trend of the high turnover workforce which is the industry norm. Having such an experienced and stable workforce is a major reason why many of our clients first choose and then stay with Agincare.
Whilst we recognise that care work may be a stepping stone for some wishing to pursue a career in a related field, for those looking at it as a long-term option we can offer a variety of opportunities.
Our staff have recognised career paths and we positively encourage the pursuit of care sector National Vocational Qualifications. A number of our senior managers started off as domiciliary care workers.
As a responsible and progressive employer, Agincare also recognises the importance of trying to help our staff fit their work life around family and personal commitments. Treating people as individuals and looking to develop their own skills is in our ethos, as is our commitment to equality and diversity across the company.
